How We Work
We collaborate on leadership and artistic decisions and work together as a house band to adopt and boost singing or instrumental artists "projects" which focus on producing songs and/or videos. Projects may be for individuals in the core team or we may select artists who show strong hit-making potential. In addition to recording, we can be the stage band or the video prop-team to support our projects, where the goal is to move performing artists from the "part time / local gig" player whose pay covers their costs, to a "'known artist" with enough financial freedom to focus on music. The initial investment is 3 hours weekly record and rehearse, occasional outings to do video or photo shoots, participate in email chat, and bring your own instrument and gear.
Your investment is time: a 3 hours weekly record, film and rehearse session, plus occasional outings to do video or photo shoots, participate in email chat, and bring your own instrument and gear. We strive for collaborators, who will work and commit time to their own project and to helping other artists in our community. We are mainly in the Bay Area and some non-local artists. We seek for spiritually positive and authentic art and messages, and want to avoid art that promotes overt sexual, rudely selfish, openly arrogant or violent destructive themes. We strive for ethical and honest relationships in our collaboration.
Business Model
Our Studio Business Model is to charge no fees to record, nor does the Studio want to act like a Big Label and collect maximum possible royalties from songs that get streamed, played, or covered. By freely sharing our talent, equipment and time, we “pay into” each others success. Each artist may open a recording project and get the others to help on it. We want to name all the contributors recorded in each song so that the primary artist can apportion some of their royalties back to the support team. We establish goals and milestones for each Artist to ensure that we all keep focus.
